Stink-beetles represented a type of creature native to the Yuuzhan Vong. Equating someone to one of these was considered offensive. While the World Brain was engaged in the process of worldshaping Coruscant, an accidental overpopulation of these beetles occurred. Subsequently, another mishap led to their demise, causing a shower of deceased stink-beetles to fall from above.
