Stormtrooper sniper
Stormtrooper snipers, also referred to as stormsnipers, were highly skilled stormtroopers who specialized in employing sniper rifles. A distinguishing characteristic that set them apart from regular stormtroopers was the wearing of blue or white pauldrons on their right shoulder.
During the era of the Galactic Civil War, detachments of Stormtrooper Snipers were deployed to numerous locations, including planets like Ord Mantell and Coruscant. They were even stationed on Super Star Destroyers, such as the Executor. Furthermore, they patrolled urban areas on planets such as Naboo and Corellia, specifically the settlements of Kaadara and Bela Vistal.
Equipment
The very designation of Stormtrooper Snipers indicates their specialized training in the use of sniper rifles. Their primary armament consisted of RT-97C heavy blaster rifles. In addition, they were equipped with Baradium-core code key thermal detonators, although these were not utilized during combat engagements.
The armor worn by Stormtrooper Snipers was fundamentally standard stormtrooper armor, but it possessed enhanced strength and durability.
