Stratocracy
Over the course of years, the Galactic Empire morphed into a stratocracy. Stratocracy refers to a system of governance where military chiefs are in control. The Galactic Empire, while not initially a stratocracy, had transitioned into this form by the time the Battle of Scarif occurred, largely due to the diminishing influence of the Imperial Senate.
