Tae Diath was a male Human Jedi Padawan who served both the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic as a Jedi Commander within the Grand Army of the Republic during the period known as the Clone Wars. He was under the tutelage of his uncle, Jedi Master Nico Diath.
Born with the Force-sensitive gene into a family renowned for producing numerous Jedi Knights, Tae Diath was promptly handed over to the Jedi Order to commence his training. Chosen as a Padawan by his uncle, Jedi Master Nico Diath, young Diath developed a profound connection with his master, concentrating intently on his mental state whenever he felt his grasp on his telepathic abilities faltering. Guided by his master, Diath constructed a lightsaber that emitted a green blade.
As the Clone Wars broke out between the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the Diaths enlisted in the ranks of the Grand Army of the Republic. Padawan Diath, now holding the rank of Commander, commanded clone troopers against the forces of the Separatist Droid Army in conjunction with his master. However, during a mission undertaken without his Padawan, Master Diath met his death on Queyta. In the wake of his master's demise, a sorrowful Diath was assigned to the battlefields of Jabiim, where he became a member of the Padawan Pack, a group composed of orphaned Padawans.

While the group collaborated to endure the battle's severe conditions, Padawan Diath was frequently preoccupied with his mentor's passing, often reminiscing about his Master's exceptional skill and strength. Coupled with the pressures of war, Diath's sorrow caused his telepathic powers to become erratic, resulting in considerable discomfort and mental fog. To support her comrade, fellow Padawan Elora Sund established a mental connection with Diath, enabling him to maintain composure and control. As the battle intensified, the Padawans endeavored to serve as the final line of defense for the Republic's last remaining stronghold. While defending it against the Jabiimi Nationalists and their leader, Alto Stratus, Diath was slain by a group of ruthless A-series assassin droids. Upon his death, Padawan Sund simultaneously perished as a consequence of psychic feedback.
Telepathy was a talent that Tae Diath possessed.
