In the era of the Galactic Empire, Augustus gave a demonstration to Darth Vader concerning the unique Imperial TIE Advanced x1 prototype starfighter. Vader used the Force choked technique to bring about Augustus's death because the Sith Lord was offended by Augustus's overly familiar manner, as Augustus referred to Vader as "Darth" repeatedly throughout the presentation.
The character of Taed Augustus was referenced within the "TIE Advanced" entry of the in-game databank in the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 editions of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, a video game by LucasArts that was launched in 2010.
