Taj Vellion existed as a male individual within the Galactic Empire while it was active during the era of the Galactic Civil War.
Vellion held the position of Governor for the world named Pamorjal. He permitted the local council to manage the daily activities of Pamorjal, intervening in public matters only when he perceived a threat to the objectives of the Empire. In 3 ABY, he experienced increasing demands from several large businesses with investments on Pamorjal, urging him to suppress the Pamorjal Freeman's League, a group of rebels who fought against the exploitation of Pamorjal by those not from the planet. Vellion hesitated to act on this, however, he thought he would be compelled to because they were "loyal" Imperial businesses.
