Taliff served as the Galactic Empire's appointed governor on Dentaal. Following his destruction of the influential Dentaalian House, the surviving members coalesced into the Dentaal Independence Party and successfully overthrew his rule through a peaceful revolution. As a response to this, Commander Crix Madine eradicated the entire population of Dentaal using the devastating Candorian plague.
