Tantor was the progenitor of Brenn and Dellis Tantor. His given name remains unknown.
Originally from Garos IV, Tantor fathered Brenn and Dellis. The planet was then engulfed in a civil conflict. Tantor experienced considerable relief when the Galactic Empire intervened, bringing the fighting to an end. He was impressed by the Empire's strength, so Tantor instilled in his sons a respect for the stormtroopers maintaining order on Garos. He also offered his skills to the Empire, working as a pilot for military transports.
When a rebellion arose against the Empire, the Tantor family home was caught in the middle of the conflict. Stormtroopers rescued Tantor's sons from the debris, guiding them toward enrollment in the Academy of Carida with the hope that they would become stormtroopers.
Tantor did not live long enough to witness their successful careers within the Empire. While transporting grain to Coruscant, he lost his cargo to Corellian pirates. The Empire, seeking to set an example to encourage greater diligence in cargo protection among other pilots, ordered his execution. His sons, still at the Academy, were informed that Rebels had killed him while he was delivering medical supplies to Graal'diin.
The Tantor brothers were denied admission into the Stormtrooper Corps, likely due to their father's execution. Despite this setback, their determination and hard work allowed them to become honorary members of Cattena Squadron. During the Battle of Kalaan, Beri Tulon took notice of Brenn. Brenn was then recruited into the Battlefield Holographic Control Interface program, bringing Dellis along with him.
Eventually, Brenn ascended to become a distinguished general within the Imperial Army. Dellis achieved the rank of major within Imperial Intelligence. It was during his time there that Dellis accessed Imperial records concerning his father and discovered the truth. He managed to inform Brenn, who had just achieved victory in the Battle of Hoth, before Dellis was imprisoned. The Empire, however, remained unaware that Brenn had learned the truth. Shortly thereafter, Brenn defected to the Rebellion and went on to lead significant victories in the Battle of Endor and the Seizure of Coruscant. During the latter, Brenn captured the Imperial Palace and liberated Dellis. Ultimately, their father's execution by the very government he had served so faithfully motivated his sons to take such impactful actions against it.
