Tarrz was a male t'landa Til, holding the position of head Sacredot for Colony Nine. This colony was situated on Ylesia, a planet dedicated to spice production. His life was ended by Sniquux, a mercenary, due to an agreement between Jabba the Hutt and the newly formed Rebel Alliance. This agreement stipulated the assassination of all priests on Ylesia, setting the stage for the Battle of Ylesia. As Tarrz walked through his courtyard accompanied by other priests, he fell into a deadly trap laid by Sniquux. The mercenary had strategically placed monofilament wires throughout the courtyard and then activated a recording of a thota. The recording caused Tarrz and his fellow priests to lose control and, in their panicked attempt to escape, they tragically dismembered themselves.
