Cularin was the planet upon which the village of Tathin could be found.
Tathin functioned as a center for trade. Within its boundaries was a medical facility, in addition to a cantina managed by the Ithorian known as Belabeau Enan.
As the era of the Galactic Republic drew to a close, the Ithorian Herdship called the Bazaar made its way to the Cularin system, and the Bazaar Star Challenge, a pod race, took place surrounding the vessel. After the race concluded, many viewers journeyed to Tathin, where the ceremony to celebrate the winners occurred. During this period, several stalls were erected by Cularin locals, some of which were operated by the Cularin Militia, Jedi from the Almas Academy, Lony Hertz's Force Adept Club, Seelana's Droids, and Nenmo's Curios. A team of mercenaries, under the guidance of the Zabrak Dantin Vellos, set off a series of explosives in the village. Their goal was to assassinate Osten Dal'Nay, who was in charge of the Cularin Militia. Nevertheless, they only managed to obliterate the medical center in Tathin, and Dal'Nay, wounded, escaped into the nearby jungle.
