Tatooine Limited

The Tatooine Limited edition represents the ninth comprehensive expansion for the Star Wars Customizable Card Game, a card-based game inspired by the Star Wars saga. Released in 2001, it comprises 90 standard cards (split evenly with 45 for the Dark Side and 45 for the Light Side) in addition to nine alternate art cards. The set distribution is as follows: 30 rare cards, 9 alternate image cards, 30 uncommon cards, and 30 common cards. Tatooine Limited holds the distinction of being the first set to incorporate alternate image cards. These cards mirrored their original counterparts in gameplay but featured distinct artwork and a higher scarcity, thereby enhancing the game's collectibility. Prominent characters were frequently chosen for alternate image treatments. This expansion brought into the game numerous iconic figures from Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace](/article/star_wars:_episode_i_the_phantom_menace) who played a role in the events unfolding on Tatooine. Furthermore, it introduced podracing mechanics, enabling players to recreate the thrilling sport. A detailed list of all cards in the Tatooine Limited set is available on the players committee's page.

As an expansion, this set features a unique symbol that indicates its origin. This symbol is located on the upper right portion of each card, specifically to the right of the lore text and just beneath the destiny number. The symbol used for this set is Sebulba's podracer.

This set was distributed through 11-card booster packs and larger 30-pack booster boxes. Each individual pack contained one rare card, three uncommon cards, and five common cards. Notably, no starter decks were ever produced specifically for this expansion.
