The Fatal Visionaries

The Fatal Visionaries, a band of pirates spearheaded by Zhen Mirat, gained notoriety for their brutal methods. They were infamous for their rampant looting and the destruction of numerous cargo ships. Records indicate they targeted at least two bulk freighters belonging to the Corporate Sector Authority, along with four light freighters owned by independent operators. Furthermore, they were confirmed to have destroyed three Rebel cargo ships, with another four suspected but unconfirmed.

The group's membership consisted of Mirat as the ringleader, Chanchaz Iryt and Huggtar serving as the muscle, Vazan Felix, a free-trader coerced into providing his piloting skills, and X, an assassin droid. Their base of operations was the Corellian KS-500 Spaceways Transport light freighter known as The Fatal Vision, previously Vazan's vessel named Tine's Future. During the course of the Galactic Civil War, Major Herrit from Imperial Intelligence assessed the group and, after reporting to Darth Vader, concluded that they could be a valuable asset to the Empire. Consequently, they were offered advanced technology in exchange for focusing their attacks solely on Rebel and smuggler vessels, while still being permitted to target the occasional free-trader ship without repercussions. As the war progressed, Vazan sought assistance from the Rebels to locate and liberate his family. These events ultimately led to a group of Rebels eliminating all members of the Visionaries, with the exception of Huggtar, who was subsequently recruited into the Rebellion as a medic.
