The Life and Legend of Obi-Wan Kenobi

Obi-Wan Kenobi's Life and Legend is a young adult novel penned by Ryder Windham. The book's initial release date was set for October of 2008, a year following the publication of its precursor, The Rise and Fall of Darth Vader. It recounts the narrative of the initial six Star Wars films from the perspective of Obi-Wan Kenobi. In addition, it features a prologue and various interludes told from Luke Skywalker's point of view, taking place between the events of _ The Empire Strikes Back_](/article/star_wars:episode_v_the_empire_strikes_back) and _ Return of the Jedi](/article/star_wars:_episode_vi_return_of_the_jedi). Although the majority of the book is a retelling of previously established stories, it does incorporate some fresh elements into Star Wars canon within the framework of Star Wars Legends lore.
