Jedi Quest: Path to Truth, the first tale in the series Star Wars: Jedi Quest is a sequence of novels for young readers, penned by Jude Watson and brought to the public by Scholastic. Serving as a continuation of the Jedi Apprentice series, the novels detail the adventures of Anakin Skywalker and his mentor Obi-Wan Kenobi in the time frame between Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace and Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones. On the back of each book, above the summary of the story, are the words "Obi-Wan Kenobi & Anakin Skywalker. Master and Apprentice. Chosen by fate. Destined for Conflict."
Originally intended to be a large franchise with associated merchandise like Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire and Clone Wars, Jedi Quest was scaled back to just novels and comics, along with a few action figures that were released between 2000 and 2001. The series consists of eleven books and two special editions. The initial novel, Path to Truth, is not numbered, so the remaining ten books are numbered 1 through 10. The series was followed by Last of the Jedi, which featured Ferus Olin, a supporting character from Jedi Quest, as the main character.

The adventures that Kenobi and Skywalker had as Jedi during the decade separating Episodes I and II (32-22 BBY) are mentioned in the Episode II novelization by R. A. Salvatore, Attack of the Clones. In the novel, Anakin Skywalker, a Jedi Knight, has brought Senator Padmé Amidala back to Naboo after two attempts were made to end her life in Galactic City on Coruscant.
After arriving at the Naberrie family's secluded retreat, Varykino, located in Naboo's Lake Country, Anakin and Padmé enjoy a walk through a meadow before meeting on the lodge's dining terrace, which overlooks the lake, for dinner. Once they are seated, Skywalker begins to tell Padmé "recounting some of the adventures he had known over the last ten years, training and flying with Obi-Wan."
The original title for Secrets of the Jedi was Jedi Quest Special Edition.
