Star Wars: Jedi Quest (comic series)

Star Wars: Jedi Quest was a comic book series consisting of four issues. Dark Horse Comics published them between September 12, 2001 and December 12, 2001. The same narrative was also presented within the Jedi Quest young adult novel series, specifically in the Jedi Quest: Path to Truth special edition. While not released as a trade paperback initially, it was later compiled in Star Wars Omnibus: Menace Revealed.

Plot summary

To become a Jedi, young Anakin Skywalker must adhere to the teachings of his master, Obi-Wan Kenobi. He also needs to overcome his own personal fears, including the memory of Qui-Gon Jinn — the one who was briefly his companion and a remarkably influential figure, who was killed by the ruthless Darth Maul.

Issues

Continuity

In the 2001 young reader novel Jedi Quest: Path to Truth, Rashtah is shown with a scar across his eye and wearing an eye patch. However, the comic series shows him with both of his eyes intact.

Another inconsistency arises with the Colicoid diplomatic ship. The comics depict it as a standard Consular-class cruiser, but Path to Truth describes it as a typical Colicoid-designed starship.

At the conclusion of the final issue of the series, when Palpatine's transport arrives on Nar Shaddaa, Siri Tachi is still wearing her "Zora" disguise, complete with facial markings and slicked-back hair. However, in the corresponding scene in Path to Truth, she is wearing a simple tunic and her face and hair are clean.
