The Secret of the Fortune Wookiee

The Secret of the Fortune Wookiee, penned by Tom Angleberger, is a children's book that hit shelves on August 7, 2012. This book marks the third installment in the Origami Yoda book series.

Plot summary

This semester finds Dwight at Tippet Academy, leaving the McQuarrie Middle School students to fend for themselves. Without Origami Yoda's wisdom, they must navigate the complexities of middle school life independently. Sara presents them with a gift, claiming it's from Dwight: a paper fortune teller shaped like Chewbacca. This Fortune Wookiee appears to offer advice on par with Yoda's, although the girls find it oddly focused on romantic matters. Concurrently, Dwight seems to be adapting a bit too well at Tippett. Could the unthinkable have occurred? Has Dwight transformed into someone ordinary? His McQuarrie friends must remind their eccentric pal that his unique qualities are the source of his strength. Simultaneously, a new threat emerges in the form of a decision made by Principal Rabbski...

Tom Angelberger, known for his humorous exploration of middle school's intricacies, trends, and dramas, has created a deserving successor to his successful books The Strange Case of Origami Yoda and Darth Paper Strikes Back.
