The Whiphid proprietor of The Undertow, a shady establishment located on Nar Shaddaa, catered to a clientele of criminals and ruffians seeking refuge from the Imperials. As part of Darth Vader's deceptive scheme to topple Emperor Palpatine, Galen Marek ventured there in search of Rahm Kota. Marek's threats directed at the owner regarding Kota's whereabouts provoked the bar's occupants to assault the Dark Jedi, motivated by the bounties placed on Jedi due to the Great Jedi Purge. Following the defeat of the bounty hunters, Imperial Navy commandos appeared, only to be killed by Galen, who then engaged in combat with an Emperor's Shadow Guard and a unit of Shadow Troopers.
