Third Barsen'thor's holocron

Third Barsenthors holocron The holocron Around the year 3637 BBY, the third individual to bear the title of Barsen'thor within the Jedi Order, working alongside Jedi Master Kutri O'a, fashioned a private holocron while situated on the planet of Rishi. This holocron served as a repository for all the knowledge that the Barsen'thor had accumulated over the preceding years.

In one potential future timeline, a Jedi discovered the holocron on Sarkhai following the collapse of the Republic. Conversely, in another possible future, a Sith, descended from a foe defeated by the Barsen'thor's forces, unearthed it.

Behind the scenes

This particular holocron comes into existence during a unique consular class mission found within the Shadow of Revan expansion for the Star Wars: The Old Republic MMMORPG. The player is tasked with gathering specific items, and after a period of meditation, they get to determine the holocron's responses in various hypothetical scenarios.

Should a Jedi discover the holocron, the player has the option to guide her training away from anger, instruct her in the arts of diplomacy and healing, or direct her towards the ancient weapons of the Esh-kha and Rakata. Should the latter path be chosen, O'a will comment that her war will extinguish stars.

Conversely, if a Sith comes across the holocron, the player can opt to guide the Sith down a path with the hope of instilling serenity. In this scenario, the Sith will initially resist but ultimately find redemption. Alternatively, the holocron can refuse to impart any teachings, leading to the Sith's unremarkable demise. A third option is to allow the Sith to navigate the path on their own, with all its inherent risks. If the Sith survives, they will learn from the experience and propagate the teachings.

A further choice involves deciding how the holocron will identify itself. The available options are simply Barsen'thor, the character's given name, or all of their held titles. O'a also remarks that the consular might acquire additional titles, such as Seneschal, Hierophant of the Jal Shey, and Betrayer of Balmorra.
