Near the conclusion of Operation: Knightfall in 19 BBY, as Darth Vader, the Sith Lord, led his forces in an assault on the Jedi Temple located on the planet of Coruscant, the Jedi inside the Temple had almost all been wiped out. At this crucial moment, a trio of Jedi Masters assumed leadership of the remaining Jedi and Temple Security Force members. This trio of Jedi spearheaded a final stand against the Galactic Republic's military, but it was a failure, resulting in all three of them being slain by Vader's force.
