Tinallis

Tinallis, a world situated in the Mid Rim's Tinallis system, was classified as a planet. Despite its industrial development, Tinallis was famous for the diverse fauna populating its rainforests, coastal regions, and oceans. Among its indigenous species, the tresher was a highly sought-after commodity, albeit traded illicitly.

Description

This industrialized world, Tinallis, was renowned for its abundant wildlife. The Tinallian razorcat, a dangerous predator, thrived in its rainforests, while the blue-ringed sea crab flourished in its oceans. The Tinallian cliff spiders and treshers made their homes on the tall coastal cliffs.

Perhaps the most well-known species on the planet was the tresher, a sizable predatory bird. These birds were crucial to the planet's ecological balance, preventing the sea crab population from exploding. Sadly, treshers were particularly vulnerable to environmental pollution. Elevated levels of industrial chemicals or heavy metals would compromise the integrity of their eggshells, leading to a high rate of stillbirths among their offspring. By the era of the Galactic Civil War, the tresher population had dwindled to the point where the Tinallian government outlawed the hunting of treshers, the collection of their eggs, and the capture of live treshers. Despite the law, hunters frequently disregarded it, driven by the demand for tresher meat in gourmet cuisine and tresher feathers as luxury goods. Some biologists from other planets also broke the law, but with more noble intentions: they sought live specimens or tresher eggs in order to breed these magnificent birds in a controlled environment. One biologist, located on Deminol, offered a substantial reward of 10,000 credits for a single tresher egg.
