Tocneppil

Tocneppil operated as a smuggler during the height of the New Order, a political philosophy proclaimed when the Galactic Empire was established in 19 BBY. The Corellian smuggler Han Solo collaborated with Tocneppil, with the two individuals once becoming disoriented and unable to locate their ship. Solo's companion Chewbacca frequently reminded Solo about that particular event, given Solo's assertion that Corellians never became lost.

In 0 BBY, Solo and Chewbacca made an incursion into the Empire's Death Star battle station in order to rescue one of its prisoners, Princess Leia Organa. While the pair were trying to locate their ship, the Millennium Falcon, Solo defended his statement that Corellians never got lost to Chewbacca by stating that he was drunk during the incident involving Tocneppil, and that Tocneppil was not Corellian. Furthermore, Lando Calrissian knew Tocneppil, and Calrissian became the Baron Administrator of Cloud City located on the planet Bespin in 1 ABY. After assuming the role of Baron Administrator for over a month, Calrissian occasionally longed for his past travels through the galaxy with Tocneppil.

Behind the scenes

Tocneppil initially appeared within the 1976 novelization of the original trilogy motion picture Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, which was ghostwritten by Alan Dean Foster.
