Tolut was a male Armalat, and in 22 BBY, he served as one of the seven representatives from Ansion on the Unity Council. Although possessing a minor connection to the Force, Tolut was never deemed suitable for instruction within the Jedi Order. Despite his boisterous and hasty nature, Tolut possessed the capacity to acknowledge when he had lost.
Tolut held the Jedi in disdain, regarding them as lacking honor and dismissing the Force as a mere parlor trick accessible to anyone, demonstrated when he used his weak Force powers to raise a water glass a small distance from a table. Jedi Master Luminara Unduli swiftly humbled him by telekinetically lifting an entire pitcher of water, pouring it over the loud Armalat's head, drenching and embarrassing him before the Council. Following this, he readily conceded.
