Toomer
Toomer served as a clone trooper for the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. In approximately 22 BBY, Toomer was part of a Republic strike team, under the command of a Jedi, that journeyed to the planet Gwori. Their mission: to pinpoint the locations of local Confederate shipyards and mark them for destruction by a Republic assault force. To circumvent the droid blockade surrounding the planet, Toomer and his fellow team members were frozen within carbonite blocks. This concealed their biological presence from the radiation scanners utilized by the droids, allowing the infiltrators to be transported aboard the freighter VX-391, with the astromech droid R2-D2 acting as pilot.
Although the team successfully penetrated the blockade, their freighter came under attack from Vulture droid starfighters upon reaching the planet. Before the ship was destroyed, R2-D2 managed to eject the carbonite slabs, ensuring the team reached the surface. However, the controls of Toomer's carbonite block were damaged during the fall. Consequently, he remained frozen for the entire duration of the mission. He was eventually unfrozen on the galactic capital world of Coruscant, but only after the mission's completion.
Biography
Toomer was the designation given to one of the numerous clones derived from the Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett. These clones were created on the planet Kamino to serve within the ranks of the Grand Army of the Republic. During the Clone Wars, a conflict spanning the galaxy between the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Toomer fought as a clone trooper for the Galactic Republic. As the war intensified, the Confederacy's advantage in warship numbers became increasingly apparent. Around 22 BBY, following a series of Republic setbacks in the Mid Rim, Jedi Master Mace Windu proposed a strike against the InterGalactic Banking Clan shipyards situated on the planet Gwori. Due to the stringent security measures on Gwori, the precise location of the shipyards remained unknown to the Jedi. Consequently, the decision was made to dispatch a small strike team to pinpoint the shipyards' coordinates for the Republic fleet. Toomer was among the clone troopers selected for this critical mission.

However, Gwori was designated as a zone exclusively for droids, restricting access to transports piloted solely by droids. Any transport attempting to breach the Confederate blockade was subjected to radiation, lethal to any living organisms detected. To overcome this obstacle, Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker proposed freezing the strike team in carbonite, effectively concealing them from the droid scanners. Inside carbonite-freeze plant CT-642, located on the galactic capital planet of Coruscant, Toomer underwent the freezing procedure alongside Skywalker, his Padawan Ahsoka Tano, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, Clone Captain Rex, and two additional clone troopers. Subsequently, the carbonite slabs containing the strike team were loaded onto the freighter VX-391, which was piloted to Gwori by Skywalker's astromech droid, R2-D2, who achieved this by hijacking a B1-Series battle droid and assuming complete control of its actions. Upon arrival at Gwori, the transport successfully cleared the radiation check and proceeded towards the planet. However, when R2-D2 failed to land the ship at Platform A-61 as instructed—due to the astromech droid's lack of awareness of its location—Juhm, the shipyards' overseer, deduced that VX-391 was not a Confederate vessel and ordered his forces to engage it.
As Vulture droid starfighters descended upon the ship, R2-D2 activated the cargo locks, ejecting the carbonite blocks onto the surface before making his own escape. VX-391 was destroyed, and Juhm assumed that he had eliminated the enemy. R2-D2 assisted in unfreezing all members of the strike force, with the exception of Toomer, whose slab controls had sustained damage during the fall. The Jedi relocated Toomer to a secure location and pressed on with their mission, ultimately transmitting the shipyards' coordinates to the Republic. Later, as the Republic's Hunter Squadron spearheaded the attack on the shipyards, the three Jedi and Rex—the two remaining troopers having perished during the mission—attempted to evacuate the planet aboard a commandeered Confederate Munificent-class star frigate. Before departing Gwori, Skywalker activated the ship's tractor beam, retrieving the still-frozen Toomer. The shipyards were destroyed, and Skywalker successfully piloted the cruiser to Coruscant, where Toomer was successfully unfrozen. He expressed disappointment at having missed the entire mission, but Rex reassured him that there were still numerous battles ahead.
