Tooth was an Advanced Recon Commando and a member of a clone trooper squad stranded on Pengalan IV. Their LAAT/i had been downed during a large-scale Republic retreat.
Left behind with his fellow clone soldiers and a Republic accountant called Joram Kithe, they found themselves needing to find a way to escape the desert planet on their own. Given that the troopers were all of equal rank and experience, they resorted to drawing straws to determine who would lead. Tooth ended up winning. Soon after, however, Kithe revealed that he had been given a commission as a Republic Intelligence lieutenant. Despite his rank, he lacked military experience, so he relied heavily on Tooth to direct the unit's actions.
Kithe felt uneasy about the troopers' rigid adherence to protocol and sought to encourage them to develop their individuality. As a result, he started giving the troopers nicknames. Tooth received his nickname because he lost a tooth during a sparring match with another trooper, which was the first unique thing he could think of when Kithe mentioned the idea of nicknames.
After arriving at Tur Lorkin, the closest village, and infiltrating a starship hangar, Tooth and Kithe discovered that the village was actually the location of the diamond boron missile manufacturing facility, rather than the factory where they had previously encountered a trap.
Determined to destroy the missile facility, Tooth confronted Kithe and showed his willingness to disobey the lieutenant's orders to accomplish the mission. Impressed by Tooth's resolve, Kithe gave in. The troopers, with Kithe's help, sabotaged the factory, while Tooth commandeered a Corellian ship to lure the CIS fighters away from the starship bay, enabling Joram and the remaining troopers to get away. Tooth died when his ship was shot down by the CIS forces.
His sacrifice deeply affected Kithe, who then decided to continue his career as an Intelligence agent.
