Tornik, a Human male, served as a guard for the notorious crime lord, Jabba Desilijic Tiure.
Rather than accompanying the other guards on Jabba's sail barge to the Dune Sea, a trip that culminated in the Battle of the Great Pit of Carkoon, Tornik remained at Jabba's Palace with a Gamorrean guard named Warlug, where they both became intoxicated. Upon receiving news of Jabba's demise, Yarna d'al' Gargan encountered the two inebriated guards, who, in their confused state, attempted to rape her. Luckily, Sergeant Doallyn appeared and intervened, preventing the terrible deed. He shot Warlug in the back, then fled into the desert with Yarna. Warlug survived the attack, and he and Tornik retreated.
