This planet experienced a fair amount of development and was the central base of operations for the Drach'nam slaving group led by Chay Praysh. Torpris contained a significant collection of large urban centers, some of which, particularly those under Praysh's dominion, suffered from widespread destitution. The planetary population included over twelve species that were not originally from the planet.
