Traval-Pacor system

The Traval-Pacor system, alternatively referred to as the Traval-Parcor System, was situated in the Pacor sector, within the Mid Rim region. By the year 1 BBY, the Traval-Parcor System Institute of Technology was located there, where the Ho'Din individual named Yansan was a student. In 4 ABY, the Galactic Empire utilized a shipyard within this system to manufacture Imperial-class Star Destroyers. Twelve years afterwards, the New Republic achieved victory against the Imperial Remnant during a battle that took place inside the system.

Description

The Traval-Pacor system, which is also known as the Traval-Parcor System, could be found in the Pacor sector. The Pacor sector was a component of the New Territories area of the Mid Rim. Hyperlanes provided connections to the Baltizaar, Corthenia, and Iridonia systems.

History

Yansan, a former ecology student from the Ho'Din species, enrolled in the Traval-Parcor System Institute of Technology prior to or during 1 BBY. After completing his studies, Yansan became an extremist saboteur who specialized in starships.

By 12 ABY, the Traval-Pacor system was within the territory controlled by the New Republic. In that specific year, it served as the location for a battle between the navy of the Imperial Remnant and the New Republic, with the New Republic emerging as the victor.

Locations

The Traval-Pacor system was home to the Traval-Parcor System Institute of Technology, where the extremist Yansan studied technology and various devices extensively. Not long before the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY, a Class II shipyard operated by civilians was situated in the Traval-Pacor system. This facility exclusively produced Imperial-class Star Destroyers for use by the Imperial Navy of the Galactic Empire.

Behind the scenes

The Traval-Pacor system was initially mentioned in Alliance Intelligence Reports, a sourcebook released in 1995 for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games. The Essential Atlas, a reference book published in 2009, placed the system in grid square K-7. While Alliance Intelligence Reports referred to it as the "Traval-Parcor System," The Essential Atlas introduced the name "Traval-Pacor system," which was subsequently used in later sources.
