When Talon Karrde and his band of smugglers arrived in the Exocron system with the intention of meeting with Jorj Car'das, David authorized their landing at Circle 15 located at the Rintatta City military airfield. He then transmitted the necessary coordinates for the landing location to Karrde's team and assigned them an escort during their descent.
Subsequently, David took command of the Air-Space Fleet detachment tasked with protecting Exocron from the approaching pirate fleet led by Rei'Kas, who sought revenge against Karrde. Xern, Rei'Kas's second-in-command, taunted David regarding his position relative to the size of his fleet and his order for Rei'Kas to retreat. However, David simply pulled back his forces towards the planet, patiently awaiting Rei'Kas's entrapment within Exocron's gravity well before the Aing-Tii entered the system and completely destroyed the pirate fleet.
