Trinta

Trinta, a planet characterized by its swamp terrain, was situated in the Outer Rim Territories within the Yartiv system, and not far from Kwenn Space Station. During the zenith of the Galactic Empire, this world, which also served as a home, housed a dark side nexus taken over by the deranged Halagad Ventor.

History

The first explorers of this planet were the Ithorians, who quickly developed a strong aversion to it. They decided to call the planet Trinta, a name that mirrored the designation of a demonic realm within their own mythology.

Despite various attempts by the Galactic Republic and other groups to establish colonies there, none were successful. Eventually, Trinta was dismissed as valueless, and the wider galaxy largely ignored its existence.

Halagad Ventor holds the distinction of being the planet's first known sentient resident. He was driven to insanity after enduring a brutal interrogation at the hands of Darth Vader. Following this traumatic experience, Halagad sought refuge on Trinta, where the dark side nexus became his sanctuary.

Years later, a Rebel vessel, while attempting to escape Crutag and a pursuing Taloron Hunter, crash-landed on Trinta. There, they were confronted with illusionary attacks in the form of dreambeasts, including creatures like the Dradans—all manifestations of Ventor's tormented psyche. The intensity of Ventor's rage even triggered a massive storm, leading to widespread flooding and devastation.

Following immense trials and tribulations on Trinta, the Rebels succeeded in liberating Ventor's soul from the grip of the dark side. Consequently, Ventor found redemption at last, and was able to rest in peace.
