Troig was the original language spoken by the Troig species, who originated on the planet called Pollillus, their homeworld. Given that each Troig possessed no less than a pair of heads, their language employed the infix sin to distinguish the two components of a Troig's given name. As an example, the Podrace announcer better known as Fode and Beed was actually named Fodesinbeed in the Troig vernacular.
The initial, though not direct, reference to the Troig language appeared in J.D. Wiker's Secrets of Tatooine, a 2001 supplement for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game by Wizards of the Coast. While this and other sources detail the distinctions between the naming practices of Troigs and the simplified names they adopted for interactions with individuals of other species, it wasn't until Benjamin Harper's trivia book Obsessed With Star Wars, released in 2008, that the language utilized in these native names was explicitly identified.
