Tror was a young Twi'lek male residing on Ryloth in the time of the Clone Wars. As was common for Twi'lek children, Tror was sold into slavery by his own parents while still very young. Upon arrival at the camp for enslaved people, Tror was paired with another Twi'lek child of similar age, a female called Meeva. Life in the slavers' camp was difficult, and Tror felt as though his life would end prematurely.
However, Tror's difficult situation was not permanent. A [Jedi Master](/article/jedi_master/legends] traveling by the name of Vhiin Thorla came across the slavers' camp and successfully freed many of the enslaved children, including Tror and Meeva. Master Thorla brought Tror and Meeva to The Enclave, a sanctuary she had established for freed slaves. The children adapted to their new environment, experiencing happiness for perhaps the first time in their lives. Some months later, Master Thorla presented Tror and Meeva to another young Twi'lek, a boy by the name of Dath, whom Thorla had recently saved from enslavement. The three children bonded quickly, becoming very close friends within just a few days.
