Tshindral was among several sites situated along the Rimma Trade Route, serving as a hub for production plants, spacedocks, and transportation routes. During 3 ABY, the Rebel Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry launched assaults on various points of interest along the trade route. Imperial Captain Tabor Seitaron, in pursuit of the rebels, foresaw Tshindral as a potential target, in addition to the planets Sullust and Malastare. Seitaron readied Tshindral and the other two locations in anticipation of an assault, but the 61st eventually attacked Sullust.
The 2015 novel Battlefront: Twilight Company by Alexander Freed featured Tshindral. A location bearing a similar name, Tshindral III, first appeared within the Star Wars Legends storyline in 1997, detailed in Wretched Hives of Scum & Villainy, a sourcebook by Paul Danner for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.
