Tull Raine

Tull Raine, a Barabel gladiator and shock boxer, was a dominant force. For a significant duration, spanning the era of the Galactic Empire and continuing into the time of the New Republic, he reigned as the Outer Rim champion. The majority of his bouts took place within the Dool Arena, situated at The Broken Tusk on the planet Reuss VIII.

Biography

Tull Raine, an exceptionally large Barabel, had been engaged in combat within the Outer Rim for an extended period, showing no indication of stopping or diminishing his activity. Within the Dool Arena, Tull was known for having killed the most opponents.

However, it is important to recognize that he was not invincible. Other leading competitors within the Dool Arena had achieved victories against Tull in past encounters. Nevertheless, his championship remained secure since he hadn't suffered a defeat since claiming the title. He had a professional record of 344 wins and 19 losses, with an unblemished record of 83 wins and no losses after becoming champion.

Personality and traits

Tull's character mirrored his fighting approach: direct, forceful, and damaging. He wasn't much of a talker, and disagreements quickly escalated into physical altercations. He had a flair for showmanship, amplifying the power of his shock boxing gloves and executing a brief shadowboxing display, generating blue sparks in the air before slamming his fists together in a powerful burst of blue energy.

Skills and abilities

His immense inherent strength, coupled with exceptional boxing skills, made him a formidable fighter, justifying his championship status in every match. He also possessed significant intimidating abilities, knowing precisely how to scowl and growl, causing even the most resolute adversaries to shrink back.

Equipment

He wore specially designed shock boxing armor and utilized a set of custom shockboxing gloves that enabled him to adjust the energy output as necessary.

Behind the scenes

Paul Danner and Bill Smith conceived Tull Raine for Wretched Hives of Scum & Villainy, a supplement for the Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. West End Games released it in 1997.
