The TurboDyne 99, a podracer manufactured by Elsinore-Cordova Engineering, existed before the outbreak of the Clone Wars. A particular pod of this model was possessed by the podracer Kidd Kareen; he subsequently allowed Ahsoka Tano, a racer and his romantic interest, to use it at the Mon Gazza Speedway. Anakin Skywalker suggested that a standard 99 outperformed a standard Solarix-G6.
