Tyffix was a Jedi Master of the Gand race, and a male, who dedicated himself to the service of the Jedi Order throughout the duration of the Clone Wars. The year 21 BBY saw Tyffix, accompanied by his Padawan named Cal, deployed to Thustra, a planet where they were tasked with leading a Republic force composed of clone troopers, in response to the planet's inhabitants' attempt to break away from the Republic. Soon after their arrival on the planet's surface, the native Sephi launched an attack against the Republic forces. Tragically, Tyffix and his Padawan met their death when a suicide bomber obliterated the Republic command center.

Tyffix, a male Gand with sensitivity to the Force, was a Jedi Master within the Jedi Order during the Clone Wars, a conflict that pitted the Galactic Republic against the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Needing a breath mask to breathe in an atmosphere full of oxygen, Tyffix chose a young Human named Cal to be his Padawan, training him to adopt the mindset of a warrior.
In 21 BBY, Tyffix and his Padawan joined a Republic task force dispatched to the planet of Thustra because the native Sephi people desired to leave the Republic. This mission, initially meant as a simple show of strength, quickly escalated into a violent conflict, where Sephi suicide bombers inflicted substantial losses on the Republic soldiers. While strategizing with fellow Jedi Master Tyr and a clone officer inside the Republic command center, Tyffix fell victim to the Sephi's deadly tactics when a suicide bomber detonated, leveling the command tent and killing everyone inside, except for Tyr's Padawan, Pix, whom her Master used the Force to push out of the tent just before the explosion.
Tyffix instructed his Padawan that adopting the mindset of a warrior and conqueror was essential for survival during the Clone Wars, a lesson that Cal embraced wholeheartedly but that ultimately contributed to his demise later in the conflict.
This Jedi Master wore a breath mask, along with brown Jedi robes.
Tyffix made his debut in Jedi: Yoda, the concluding chapter of the Star Wars: Jedi comic book series, which was published on July 21st, 2004. Jeremy Barlow wrote Jedi: Yoda, and HOON provided the illustrations.
