Tynan Ryln Mei was a Togorian outlaw and an operative providing intelligence to the Rebel Alliance.
Originally from the planet Togoria, she was a devoted spectator of sc'rath duels. Eventually, she departed her homeworld and started working as a privateer and smuggler sympathetic to the Rebel cause. Mei's work consisted of supplying Rebel cells located on planets under Imperial control with both provisions and armaments. It was also discovered during this period that she possessed considerable combat skills.
She enlisted with Alliance Intelligence on 1 BBY. Later, in 2 ABY, she became a part of the starfighter group known as Storm Squadron. She also served as a member of the Rebel Alliance Task Force on Alliance Security. While in that position, she authored a report concerning Mlatar Thon Gra, a Togorian who posed a danger to the Rebel Alliance. Mei pointed out that Gra was a very skilled weapons creator and sword fighter, and that he would take advantage of unprepared opponents.
