The religion known as Ulizra was practiced by the Nazzar. Ikree, a princess, founded it during a boqeri, which is a ritualistic banishment. The core tenets of this faith were formalized in the document called the Great Structure. Ikree then journeyed back to her native planet, Nazzri, where she deposed and assassinated her father, Prrit Qabaq, the emperor-king, who adhered to the dark side.
Following Ikree's assassination, which occurred a mere six months into her rule at the hands of a former supporter of her father, her teachings were twisted and utilized as the foundation for a theocratic system. Qrrrl Toq, one of her descendants, after uncovering the truth regarding Ulizra, embarked on his own boqeri from Nazzri, ultimately achieving the rank of Jedi Knight.
Ulizra was based on three central tenets:
The collective is of greater importance than any single individual. The Nazzar will be corrupted by interaction with alien species. Any religion that stands in opposition to Ulizra must be eradicated. These principles were most likely established by the praefects, or priests, after the death of Ikree. This is due to the fact that the concept of boqeri inherently contained the notion that religious understanding was linked to exploration and curiosity.
Ulizra was organized into fourteen distinct sects, and the leaders of these sects, working in conjunction with the monarchy, governed the Nazzar's home planet of Nazzri. The Nazzar were perceived as xenophobic due to their intolerance and the widespread adherence to Ulizra among the Nazzar population.
