The arachnid species referred to as unakki eye spiders were responsible for inflicting harm upon the eyes of Humans. Approximately in 3645 BBY, Darth Scabrous, a Sith Lord, released several of these unakki eye spiders within his Sith academy located on Odacer-Faustin. These spiders were responsible for the deaths of a pair of students and launched attacks on a minimum of eleven more individuals, with Hartwig and Soid Einray among the victims. Hartwig managed to live through this encounter, but he persistently experienced blood in his eyes upon waking up on numerous occasions. Due to the injuries inflicted by the spiders, Soid Einray ultimately hanged himself.
