While the pair of yellow-skinned merchants were traversing the storage space within the Fortress of Tawntoom, they were taken aback by the sight of a small R2-series astromech droid approaching them. As they pondered the diminutive droid's presence, Mungo Baobab, who had been concealed behind a pile of storage boxes, suddenly attacked them with a blast. Because of the properties of Mungo's seed launcher, the aliens were not injured; instead, they found themselves entangled by a swiftly developing vine that originated from the launched seed. After taking the merchants' cloaks for use as disguises, Mungo departed, leaving the aliens restrained by the vines, as he, C-3PO, and the miniature R2-D2 embarked on their mission to penetrate the fortress.
