An important person served as the chairman for the Rebel Alliance. This person dispatched Mace Windy along with Chuiee Two Thorpe on an assignment to Yoshiro at one time.
Behind the scenes
The chairman of the Alliance initially surfaced in a preliminary version of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, originally titled Journal of the Whills, Part I, which George Lucas ultimately discarded.
