A unit of clone commandos served as a part of the Galactic Republic's Grand Army during the initial year of the Clone Wars, a conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. These commandos received their training from Cuy'val Dar Sergeant Walon Vau. The squad consisted of four commandos, one of whom was Atin. This unit, alongside other commando squads, participated in the opening battle of the Clone Wars on the planet Geonosis, where all members except Atin met their death.
In the year 32 BBY, on the Wild Space planet Kamino, a squad of clone commandos was created with the purpose of serving within the Galactic Republic's Grand Army. This unit was comprised of four troopers, including Atin, and their training was overseen by Mandalorian Sergeant Walon Vau. Vau had been specifically chosen by bounty hunter Jango Fett to be a member of the Cuy'val Dar. Known for his harsh methods, Vau frequently used physical punishment and emphasized the importance of equipment to his commando trainees.
The squad was deployed to the Outer Rim planet Geonosis in 22 BBY, along with numerous other commando units, to participate in the initial battle of the Clone Wars, a conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The unit suffered significant casualties during this battle, with Atin being the sole survivor. Three months later, Atin was reassigned to Omega Squad. When first meeting the members of Omega, all of whom were also the only survivors of their original squads, Sergeant RC-1309 "Niner" commented that the squad must have been a miserable group, training under a miserable instructor. As the squad's tensions decreased, Atin expressed his guilt to Niner, the squad leader, for surviving when his former squadmates did not.
This squad received a mention in the 2004 novel titled Republic Commando: Hard Contact, authored by Karen Traviss. In a 2005 discussion on StarWars.com, Traviss revealed that her notes for Hard Contact indicated that RC-3222's original squad bore the name "Prudii Squad," though this name was absent from the novel itself.
