Unidentified LEP servant droid 1
This 'LEP servant droid' found its post on Coruscant in 21 BBY, during the period of the Clone Wars.
Biography
This particular droid was employed by Senator Padmé Amidala, assisting her in preparing for a party she hosted for Senator Aang, specifically aiding in the arrangement of the main table. During this event, C-3PO had a brief exchange with this droid after a collision, remarking that it had malfunctioning digits after dropping its tray.
Behind the scenes
The initial script for "Evil Plans" featured C-3PO lamenting that the serving staff only had thumbs. However, Anthony Daniels, the actor behind C-3PO, used his understanding of the character to object to the line. He felt that droids would not have a digit that could be called a thumb. Daniels discussed this with Supervising Director Dave Filoni and proposed alternative wording such as "sticky digits" or "malfunctioning digits." Filoni immediately favored the latter, which greatly pleased Daniels.
