Biography
This particular droid was employed by Senator Padmé Amidala, aiding her in preparing the main table for a gathering she hosted for Senator Aang. During a brief encounter, C-3PO commented on the droid's faulty digits after it dropped its tray.
Behind the scenes
Originally, the "Evil Plans" script featured C-3PO lamenting that the servers were only equipped with thumbs. However, Anthony Daniels, the actor behind C-3PO, used his understanding of the character to object to this line, arguing that droids wouldn't have a digit identifiable as a thumb. After a discussion with Supervising Director Dave Filoni, Daniels proposed alternatives like "sticky digits" or "malfunctioning digits." Filoni swiftly accepted the latter, much to Daniels' satisfaction.
