Unidentified Mon Calamari cruiser (Mon Cala)

This class of starship was a cruiser utilized by the Mon Calamari. During the time of the Galactic Empire, also known as the Imperial Era, the Mon Calamari monarchy's trade fleet was seized by the Empire and renamed the Mon Cala Imperial Trade Fleet, which possessed at least one vessel of this type. Following the death of Mon Calamari King Lee-Char and the recording of his last words, the Mon Cala fleet, which included a starship of this class, staged a mutiny. However, they were soon confronted by an Imperial fleet under the command of Admiral Tyrus Meori. These starships were equipped with at least fourteen engine units.

Behind the scenes

The initial appearance of this Mon Calamari starship model occurred in Star Wars (2015) 48, which was published in 2018. Kieron Gillen wrote the comic and Salvador Larroca provided the illustrations. In one panel of the comic Star Wars (2015) 54, the MC80A Home One Heavy Star Cruiser Republic was mistakenly shown as being this particular ship model.
