This unidentified Shadow Guard, a Human male belonging to the Emperor's Shadow Guard, was assigned to the Skyhook installation on Kashyyyk. During Galen Marek's assault on the base, an apprentice of Darth Vader, the guard met his end in a duel with Marek, who stormed the facility.
Sometime prior to the event, he had been inducted into the Emperor's Shadow Guard, which is a distinguished division within the Emperor's Royal Guard. In the year 2 BBY, he found himself stationed at the Skyhook situated on the heavily forested planet of Kashyyyk. After discovering that several Wookiees had escaped their confinement, he moved to intercept Galen Marek, Darth Vader's secret apprentice, after discovering he had infiltrated the facility to liberate the Wookiee prisoners and Princess Leia Organa, while also cutting down the garrison of Imperial Navy commandos, Imperial heavy troopers, Imperial jumptroopers, and Imperial medics. A battle ensued between the two. Marek emerged victorious, ending the guard's life with his lightsaber.
Being a Shadow Guard, he demonstrated skill in wielding a lightsaber pike, which he employed during their confrontation. The guardsman also had some aptitude with the Force, manifesting purple Force lightning and the ability to use Force choke. Ultimately, his capabilities were insufficient to overcome Marek's superior skill.
