Unidentified Sith Commander (Taris)

This Sith Commander, a member of the Sith forces, was positioned on Taris. His duties involved patrolling an apartment complex during the Sith occupation of the planet, before its destruction. His primary task was to interrogate a member of the Hidden Beks organization to locate stolen uniforms. However, his interrogation was interrupted by Revan, who was suffering from amnesia at the time. Revan intervened to rescue the Aqualish Hidden Bek, eliminating the Sith Trooper in the process. Revan then acquired the Sith Trooper's armor, using it to gain entry to the Lower City.

Personality and traits

An Aqualish during his interrogation by the Sith Commander.

This Sith Trooper possessed the standard characteristics of a Sith Trooper, being fully armored and having a similar voice to others of his rank. However, the Sith trooper guarding the apartment door during the interrogation expressed relief at being stationed outside, implying that the interrogating Sith trooper had a history of ruthlessness.

Behind the scenes

This particular Sith trooper is exclusively featured as a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. To progress to the Lower City, the player must defeat this trooper and take his uniform. Alternatively, if the player visits the Upper City Cantina and speaks with the Sith officer Sarna before entering the apartment complex, they may be invited to a party with other officers. This party takes place in the same apartment, and the required uniform can be found in the backpack of an intoxicated Sith officer, thus bypassing the encounter with this particular trooper.

If the player does encounter this Sith trooper, they have several options. The Canon choice involves preventing the Sith from harming the defenseless prisoner, earning the player light side points but leading to a battle against the Sith trooper and two other troopers. Another option is to attack the Sith out of anger, which does not affect the player's alignment. Additionally, if the player initially ignores the situation, the Sith trooper will kill the Hidden Bek and summon the other troopers to search for the stolen uniforms. The player must then provoke the troopers into a fight to obtain the Sith armor, which also does not alter the player's alignment.
