A sorceress devoted to the Sith resided on the planet of Ambria many centuries prior to the Great Hyperspace War. As someone who practiced the dark side and an adherent to the Sith Order, she dedicated hundreds of years to enslaving the people of Ambria, overseeing the building of a massive obelisk. Once her creation was finished, she tried to use a Sith ritual to control the planet. However, the sorceress couldn't manage the dark side power she had summoned, which led to a wave of Force energy that destroyed Ambria and killed her.

The Sith sorceress was a female follower of the Sith Order who existed centuries before the Great Hyperspace War. During her lifetime, she established her dominion over the world of Ambria, a planet situated in the Inner Rim of the galaxy. Swayed by the dark side of the Force, she enslaved the sentient population of Ambria and used the local animals as pack animals. Through her efforts, the sorceress exhausted much of Ambria's natural resources in an effort to erect a large obelisk in the planet's north-central regions. Determined to see her creation through, she supervised the construction of the black-colored, spike-shaped obelisk for hundreds of years, filling it with the power of the dark side.
After the obelisk was finally completed, the sorceress performed a complex Sith ritual, seeking to bind the entire planet of Ambria to her will. In doing so, she called upon a level of dark side power that ultimately exceeded her own capabilities. Consequently, she lost control of the wave of Force energy that was then unleashed upon Ambria. The sorceress's failed schemes not only devastated the surface of Ambria, but also killed every living thing on the planet, including herself.
The dark side's power continued to plague Ambria for centuries because of the Sith sorceress's botched ritual. After the Great Hyperspace War ended in 5000 BBY, survivors from the defeated Sith Empire eventually sought refuge on Ambria, hiding among the dark side energies the sorceress had created. By the time of the Great Sith War, the sorceress's name had been forgotten, but her actions were still recorded in Jedi lore. Thon, a Jedi Master, encountered the remnants of her existence and trapped Ambria's dark side energies inside the large body of water known as Lake Natth. However, the sorceress's deeds were not completely undone, as the planet remained a barren wasteland for several more millennia.
The Sith sorceress was a female who followed the dark side-worshipping Sith Order. While living on Ambria, the sorceress, driven mad by the dark side, oppressed both the sentient and non-sentient populations, aiming to control the entire planet. She lived for centuries leading up to the completion of her work, obsessively pursuing the creation of the Sith obelisk.
Being a powerful practitioner of the dark side of the Force, the Sith sorceress constructed a large obelisk on Ambria, filling the structure with dark side energies. She also knew a Sith ritual that, if completed, would have allowed her to control an entire planet. By performing this ritual, she summoned a magnitude of dark side power greater than anything anyone had done before. However, the sorceress couldn't control this power and was unable to stop it from killing her and destroying Ambria.
The Sith sorceress of Ambria was first introduced in Tales of the Jedi Companion, a roleplaying supplement released by West End Games in 1996. While the character's name and species were never revealed, her activities were later mentioned in Path of Destruction and Dynasty of Evil, two novels from the Darth Bane Trilogy.
