Unidentified purple-faced species
This particular race of two-legged sentient beings inhabited a world situated in the Outer Rim Territories, close to the boundary of the Galactic Republic's domain. Their faces were characterized by a central division, with two flaps extending outwards over a mouth containing numerous pointed white teeth. They protected their two eyes with specialized eyewear.
The native planet of these beings was overtaken by Mandalorian troops commanded by Rohlan Dyre, a Mandalorian Crusader seeking to desert the army to uncover the real purpose behind the Mandalorian's territorial expansion. During his flight, he eliminated numerous members of the species' military, who were clad in blue uniforms. Furthermore, an individual from this species was observed on Korriban, the Sith's original world, in the year 3993 BBY.
Behind the scenes
Dustin Weaver conceived this species for the comic Shadows and Light, which appeared in Tales 23 in May of 2005. The comic depicted only a single member of the species, appearing at the very edge of a single panel. Later, when Weaver contributed to Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic in September of 2006, he illustrated the Mandalorian conquest of this species as an amusing connection to his previous work.
