A merchant of the Squib race, identified as female, operated a worn-out booth in the Outer Rim settlement of Palisade, situated on the world of Kabal. This trader had fur marked with grease and one ear that was clipped. The year was 0 ABY, and the items she was trying to sell included plastic flip-flops, components for starships, broken household appliances, and a quay "pre-programmed prognosticator" novelty toy. The Tynnan thief Dawson attempted to barter with her, hoping to acquire the quay toy. He offered a coil of golden wire as payment, but she declined his offer and taunted him, much to the enjoyment of some aliens with red hair who were standing nearby. Kels Turkhorn, who was with Dawson, then created a distraction by tossing the quay into the air, while simultaneously stealing several power couplings from the stall. The Squib caught the toy and inquired about potential damage, at which point she and the aliens were amused by the toy's negative response. Even though both Dawson and Turkhorn initially departed without the quay, Dawson later came back to the Squib to finally get it, trading three blasting caps and a copper spindle for the item.
The Squib trader's initial appearance was in the short story "Fair Prey" by Daniel Wallace, which was published in Star Wars Gamer 1 on September 1, 2000.
