Nevertheless, prior to the ship's departure for its mission, Koblus Sornell, a fellow warrior, accosted the technician and insisted that he leave his post. Without providing any explanation, Sornell struck the technician, rendering him unconscious. She justified her actions by stating that the man had broken a deal with her sixteen years prior, and consequently, she was permitted to assume his position. Sornell's true motivation was to monitor communications, thereby aiding the ex-Jedi Zayne Carrick as he worked to undermine Kace's operations.
